The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre is currently undertaking a large project that is being funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to look Australian media reporting on illicit drugs and youth perceptions of and reactions to different types of media portrayals on illicit drug use. This is the first major study of its kind in Australia.

As part of this project we have launched a nationwide online survey. The survey is open to anyone aged 16-24 from across Australia, regardless of whether they have or have not used illicit drugs.  The survey is being conducted until April 2010.   http://drugmediasurvey.com/
