Siblings Australia Inc. aims to foster the interests of siblings of children with special needs. It achieves this by increasing the awareness of parents, siblings and service providers regarding siblings' concerns and by increasing support for service providers and families to help siblings. Siblings Australia was originally established in 1999, as the Sibling Project, within the Department of Psychological Medicine at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, in Adelaide. Its primary aim was to develop and coordinate services for families, and in particular, brothers and sisters of children with special needs (disability or chronic illness). Working With Indigenous People With Disability
This website provides practical resources for allied health professionals and carers working with Indigenous peoples with disabilities living in remote areas of Australia. Sponsored by the the Centre for Remote Health, which is based in Alice Springs, Central Australia, the site is maintained by a group of allied health professionals and carers who are directly involved in providing services to Indigenous peoples in different States and Territories of Australia.
The Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET) provides up-to-date and comprehensive information about inclusive teaching, learning and assessment strategies, accommodations and support services for people with disabilities in post secondary education and training.
